Stewed pears without added sugars!

This recipe is delicious, especially since it only contains natural sugars. It's not a lot of work and it tastes delicious!

  • 1 kg Gieser Wildeman stewing pears
  • 100 ml strong red wine
  • 3 tbsp Covelt dixap (apple)
  • 2 tbsp Grand Moro Modena balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cloves
  • water

You will need: 1 large pan, paring knife

Peel the pears, but leave the stalks on. These also give off a lot of flavor during cooking.

Pour the wine, the dixap and the balsamic vinegar into the pan and place the pears in it. Now fill the pan with water, just enough to cover the pears. The cinnamon sticks and the cloves can now go into the pan. Let it stew for about 2 hours on a low flame. Carefully prick one of the pears to check if they are soft and cooked.

These stewed pears without sugar make a delicious combination with the chicken roll with pesto and mozzarella and the parsnips from the oven!
